Update from Pastor Father Tuttle -12/21

This shows that what we, as a Church, have done in the last 50 years is not working.

We have Sacramentalized the faithful.  We have barely Catechized the majority of them.  But, we have not made disciples.

So, until we ourselves become disciples (true followers and witnesses of Jesus Christ) who then make disciples of other persons, this decline will continue. 

We have to get back to living out our mission as the Catholic Church.  The Catholic Church is the ordinary means of Salvation.  This is the mission given by Jesus Christ to the Church that He founded, the Catholic Church.  This is the last that He said to his disciples and to each of us before He Ascended to Heaven.  In fact, this is His last command.  It is not optional, but mandatory.

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” MT  28:18-20

Me gustaría notificar a todos de un cambio en el calendario de confesiones. A partir del lunes 3^deenero, las confesiones diarias (de lunes a viernes) ahora serán antes de la misa de las 8:30 a.m., no después. Las confesiones se escucharán a las 8:00 a.m., no a las 9:00 a.m. 

Además, estoy proporcionando las Estadísticas Católicas de los Estados Unidos de los últimos 50 años. Esto es importante que cada uno de nosotros lo sepa.

Bautismos infantiles (año anterior): disminución del 46.5 por ciento

Número total de sacerdotes: disminución del 39,3 por ciento

Número total de hermanas religiosas: disminución del 73,6 por ciento

Matrimonios (año anterior): 67.7 por ciento de disminución

Porcentaje de católicos que asisten a misa cada semana: 61.6 por ciento de disminución
