PSR UPDATE
It is our intent to offer traditional classroom based PSR this coming year.
For the 2022-2023 School year PSR will be offered for students in grades 1-8 from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 pm on Sunday and Monday evenings, and also from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday evenings Families will select the day and time that works best for them. Preschool (ages 3 & 4) and Kindergarten will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the McEwan Center on Sunday mornings, during the 9 a.m. mass.
A “Bridges to Confirmation” class has been added to better meet the needs of our parishioners. This two-year program is designed for students new to St. Peter PSR who have been Baptized, but have not yet been Confirmed, and who have missed one or more years of religious instruction. This “Bridges to Confirmation” class is designed to “bridge” any gaps in learning these students may have.
A Saturday evening sacrament preparation class will be offered in the Fall to prepare students in grades 3 and up who have not yet received first reconciliation or first communion. This sacrament prepration class is only open to those in their second consecutive year of religious instruction. Those enrolled in this preparation class are also enrolled in a regular PSR class.
A weekend baptism preparation class will also be offered to our students who have not yet been baptized. Parents must attend with the student. Dates and times will be announced.
