Respect Life

Our committee’s purpose is to promote the Culture of Life through prayer, education, advocacy, and by providing material resources to local crisis pregnancy centers.  The message of the program is that “all human life, born or unborn, deserves respect and protection at every stage of its existence and in every circumstance of human living.”  The committee is focused on providing educational programs on the dignity of human life and the responsibility of society to protect all of its members.  It has a high priority to engage the attention and mobilize the energies of Catholic people.  To volunteer or for further information, contact Becky Rubal at [email protected] or (614) 734-0858.

The Euthanasia Deception  movie presentation, discussion and question/answer session by Greater Columbus Right to Life    10/28/19   6:15-7:30 pm, St. Peter Blue Room.  Belgium’s 15 year experiment with euthanasia has gone terribly wrong.  This film is a dire warning for the rest of the world.  The Euthanasia Deception is a one-hour documentary featuring powerful testimonies from Belgium and beyond - of those devastated by the false ideology of ‘mercy killing’.  The film sets out to expose three main deceptions of doctor assisted dying: First, that euthanasia and assisted suicide are a form of compassion. The second is the myth of autonomy: that decisions made between doctor and patient operate in a vacuum. And finally, that government ‘safeguards’ can truly protect the vulnerable.  Please RSVP at

Honoring the Sacredness of Life:  The Rosebud Program  During October, Respect Life Month, we will be praying for women and their families during the tender times of bringing new life into the world.  If you are waiting for a child to be born, celebrating a birth or adoption, wanting to become pregnant or adopt, or grieving the loss of a child, please let us pray for you.  At the Rosebud Program table in the Gathering Space, there are prayer intention cards attached to a silk rosebuds.  Fill out the appropriate card and place the rosebud in the vase.  All intentions will be remembered at a rosary led by the Knights of Columbus at 10:45 a.m. on October 27, 2019.
